Your Journey Into Game Graphics

1

Foundation Phase

Build core competencies in 3D fundamentals, understanding mesh topology, UV mapping, and the mathematics behind 3D transformations. You'll work with basic modeling exercises that introduce proper edge flow and polygon efficiency.

2

Technical Development

Dive deep into material systems, procedural texturing, and lighting techniques. Learn how different rendering pipelines handle materials and why certain approaches work better for mobile platforms than desktop systems.

3

Production Skills

Experience realistic project timelines working on actual game assets. Collaborate with peers on larger projects that simulate real studio environments, complete with version control and review processes.

4

Portfolio Development

Create a professional portfolio demonstrating technical skills across multiple game genres. Focus on presenting your work in ways that clearly communicate your problem-solving abilities to potential employers.

Common Questions About Our Program

What software will I learn to use?
Our curriculum centers around Blender for modeling and Maya for advanced techniques, with substantial time spent in Unity for real-time rendering. We also cover Substance Painter for texturing and introduce Houdini for procedural workflows that many studios are adopting.
Do I need prior 3D experience?
While helpful, prior experience isn't required. We start with fundamental concepts and build systematically. However, comfort with computers and willingness to learn technical concepts is essential since mobile game graphics involves both artistic and technical challenges.
How does mobile graphics differ from other platforms?
Mobile graphics requires constant attention to performance optimization. Every polygon counts, texture memory is limited, and battery life affects rendering choices. We teach specific techniques for creating visually appealing graphics within these constraints.
What kind of projects will I work on?
Projects range from individual character models to collaborative environment builds. You'll create assets for different game genres including puzzle games, RPGs, and action titles, learning how visual style requirements change across different game types.
